Plume Plotter

This website shows the current state of air pollution caused by emissions from planned (and existing) incinerators. It was created by a non-expert who wanted to get an objective idea about the everyday effects of a proposed local incinerator on air quality. It was then made available as a free service to other local residents and anyone else interested. Since then, it has been rolled out to many other incinerators and related sources of air pollution.

Where do we go to register an objection that will count?

It’s all well and good saying that that plume is from an incinerator but I’m sure most people would’nt realise that that plume comes directly off landfill, and the burning of those gases coming off of it not only provides electricity but reduces the methane to CO2 and water, lessening the greenhouse effect. And no I am not normally pro incinators but if they build another incinerator on the site I think it would be doing pollution a favour to the surrounding area especially considering how its nearly overflowing, which quite frankly is shocking!
